About Ashraf Legal Solicitors
Ashraf Legal was incorporated in March 2020 to do one thing properly: move residential property clients from instruction to completion without the delay, silence and drift that so many people describe from previous moves.
Fewer files, answered faster
Volume conveyancing works on throughput. Files are split between departments, contact is routed through a general enquiries line, and the person who reads your title is rarely the person who speaks to you. It is efficient for the firm and frustrating for the client.
We take a deliberately smaller caseload. A qualified solicitor owns your matter, reads everything on it, and reports to you personally. You get a direct email address and a call back within the working day. Enquiries are raised as soon as the papers land rather than in a weekly batch, and searches are ordered on the day funds are received.
We are candid about timescales. If a leasehold management pack is going to take five weeks, we say five weeks at the outset instead of promising four and apologising later. Most complaints in this profession are not about legal error — they are about expectations that were never honestly set.
What we hold ourselves to
These are operating rules, not slogans.
- 01Say the price firstEvery foreseeable cost appears in writing before you instruct us. No fee is ever introduced at completion for work that was always going to be necessary.
- 02Answer the question askedPlain English, no hedging behind terminology. If the answer is that a risk exists and you must decide, we say so and give you what you need to decide.
- 03Chase, don't waitThird parties set their own pace. Our job is to apply pressure continuously rather than to report that we are waiting.
- 04Protect client money absolutelyClient funds are held in a designated client account under the SRA Accounts Rules. Our bank details never change mid-transaction, and we will never ask you to send money on the strength of an email alone.
- 05Turn work away honestlyIf a matter needs a specialist we are not, we say so at the first conversation rather than learning at your expense.
